If you haven’t had a chance to check out The Division 2, well you’re missing out. I had the pleasure of doing the first mission yesterday and boy was it a blast.
Yeah I know I’m a bit behind the curve on this one, I’ve been trying to play catch up with Devil May Cry 5, which I’m almost through.
The Division 2 gave me a bit of a challenge to get my controller to work. I have always been a fan of the Dual Shock controller line, Playstation makes great controllers for my hands. Most of you PlayStation fans out there know that PC support with the DS4 is a bit touch and go, you have to use an emulator sometimes and other times you don’t.
I am pleased to see that The Division fully integrated the PS4’s controller in their PC version of the game. I assumed that I would need to use the DS4 program to get the ability to use a controller on this game on my PC, I was wrong. This caused a bit of a conflict with the game in which my character was shaking and would not stop auto firing. Frustrating at first, until I realized the error was mine.
Simple fix, I just turned off the program that emulates the PS4 controller (it makes the PC think it’s an Xbox controller) and it worked like a charm.
It really threw me off having full functionality on a DS4 controller on my PC, I did not expect that and the game gets points for that in my book.
If you haven’t had a chance here’s the launch trailer for The Division 2.
It’s a fantastic game so far, the intro gave me goosebumps and the gameplay is even better than the first one. Not to mention the customization has been turned up a few notches.
While I’m going to hold off giving this game a final judgement until I’ve had a chance to play a bit more of it, I’m going to be quite optimistic, this game has impressed me so far.
Thanks for reading, this is Mason saying…
Keep it real!
